Ayurveda Course in Ubud, Bali

The wisdom of Ayurveda has transcended its roots and has now been embraced by the Balinese tradition of natural healing and holistic well-being. During the seven days of the Ayurveda course in Ubud, participants connect fully with the principles of this ancient science at one of the best places in the world on yoga and wellness. Ubud is a well-known spiritual center that attracts thousands of seekers and practitioners from all over the globe that makes it an ideal location for learning this ancient tradition based on maintaining balance and deep self-awareness.

The program is highly well-structured, which allows to turn absolute newbies into confident Ayurveda students as the curriculum was developed by experienced practitioners. The main theme of the course is the existence of a close connection between yoga and Ayurveda. Yoga benefits the mind via methods such as asana or postures, meditation, and breathing. Ayurveda, on the other hand, uses the body as medicine, stimulating its healing ability. Therefore, both yoga and Ayurveda promote a healthy and balanced state of being. As you gradually learn about the manifestations of Ayurveda principles, you will eventually get to know your own constitution or Dosha, and a range of yoga poses that help coordinate the body, mind, and emotions.

The tranquil environment of our ashram surrounded by rice terraces and jungle areas typical of Ubud also promotes the learning process. During the course of the program, you will learn about such practices of Ayurveda as cleansing, grounding, and clarifying and understand how they can be successfully implemented in our hyperactive fast-paced modern life.

Ayurveda and Yoga: A Harmonious Approach to Health

It is truly valuable to discover the yogic aspect of our Ayurveda workshops in Ubud. Ayurveda and Yoga originated within Vedic science teachings, and it is not intended that one should adopt each separately. Yoga is usually considered to be the development of spirituality while Ayurveda is thought to be the science of bodily and psychic balance. At the same time, we provide this interconnectedness into our Ayurveda courses in Ubud. We apply Ayurveda to eliminate the toxins (Ama), purify the Doshas, enhance the fire of digestion (Agni), and ensure the possibility to perform a sattvic lifestyle in order for the body to be prepared for the yoga-related activities. This course will help you see clearly how deeply interdependent Ayurveda and yoga really are. Together, they offer:

  • Creating a unique practice of yoga for each person, according to their Prakriti (internal constitution) and Vikriti (balance disturbances)
  • Healthier bodily and energetic systems, which facilitate the execution of asanas
  • Better supply of prana to create better conditions for pranayama practice
  • A calm and sound mind (Ayurveda stimulates the development of sattva, without which inner development cannot take place)
  • Help with disease prevention and recovery from injuries with the help of a daily regimen, herbs, and lifestyle changes
  • A holistic approach that makes the body clean, calms the mind, and prepares it for deeper practice of yoga
  • In traditional wisdom, Ayurveda is a healing process and yoga is a spiritual one.
