Course Queries

What style of yoga do you primarily teach?

+

Our focus of instruction comes from our foundation of Traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga with the mix of Iyengar principles in a modern context of teaching. In addition, we provide training in Pranayama, Yin Yoga, and Meditation for all students to develop an overall understanding of the different aspects of Yoga as a whole.

Do I need prior experience to join your training programs?

+

No experience is necessary for the 100- and 200-hour programs since they are designed for both new and experienced practitioners. For the 300- and 500-hour programs, it would be helpful to have a basic understanding of Yoga in order to have the foundation required for the advanced levels of training.

Who are the teachers at your yoga school?

+

The teaching staff at our school has many years of dedication to the practice of Yoga. They all have formal educational qualifications in Yogic Science and have been trained by recognised masters. Each instructor teaches from his or her own area of expertise - ranging from Hatha yoga and alignment to Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy - therefore the students will have the opportunity to learn through different styles and perspectives.

Does the school provide yoga mats, or should we get one ourselves?

+

The ashram provides you with your yoga mat and basic tools as well to help during your training. If you would like to use your own mat, please bring this along with you.

How can I apply or reserve my spot in the course?

+

You can begin to reserve your place in the course by filling out a simple online application form and submitting a deposit using any of the accepted payment methods. Once the payment has been processed successfully then we will send an email confirmation to you that contains the information about your class.

Payment Queries

What payment methods do you accept?

+

You can use your credit card or debit card to pay for online services and make direct payments to our bank via ACH Bank Transfer or PayPal. For Indians that may be using UPI they can make payments directly using their bank accounts only.

What currencies do you accept for payment?

+

At the moment we are only accepting payments in US dollars and your money will be converted to the currency of the country where the course takes place (The United States). If your bank charges for this service, this fee will be added to your payment.

What is your refund policy?

+

Our cancellation policy offers a full refund (minus a processing fee) if you cancel 60 or more days before your course start date. Refunds decrease on a sliding scale as the course date gets closer, and cancellations made within 15 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund. Full details are available on our Payment page.

Is a deposit required to book a course?

+

Yes, in order to reserve your place in one of our courses you must make at least a 20% non-refundable deposit of the total course fee. The remainder of the course fee can be paid in full prior to the start of the course or upon arrival at our ashram (whichever option is best for you).

Can I transfer my booking to a different course date?

+

Yes, each participant is entitled to transfer their original booking to a future course one time (during their course). Requests for transferring to another course must be made in writing to the course coordinator at least 30 days prior to your original start date and are dependent on space availability.

Certification Queries

Are your courses certified ?

+

Our yoga teacher training courses are Yoga Alliance certified. Yoga Alliance is a non-profit association (based in the United States) that creates quality standards for yoga teacher training programs throughout the world.

What certification will I receive?

+

After successfully completing your course, you will be issued with a Yoga Alliance-recognised Certificate of Completion. This certificate allows you to register with the Yoga Alliance as a Qualified Yoga Teacher internationally and teach yoga throughout the world.

What are the certification requirements?

+

Your certification will be granted once you demonstrate consistent attendance throughout your course and complete all required assessments and practical training.

Is the certification recognised internationally?

+

Yes. All of the courses we offer are Yoga Alliance Certified, so graduates will be able to register with the Yoga Alliance to teach yoga in their community and at yoga studios located throughout the world.

How long does it take to receive my certificate after the course?

+

You will receive your certification at the end of your course and after all training requirements have been met.

Namaste, I completed my 200 hours teacher training course from Ubud Yoga Ashram last month. One of the best thing about this ashram is it’s location, away from the city. In this traditional yoga ashram, its environment makes the whole learning experience even more beautiful. I learned so many things here and everyone was kind and friendly. Teacher in this ashram are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective subjects. Pranayama teacher was a great example of what you can achieve if you have discipline in your practice. He taught us some cleansing practices like Jal Neti, Rubber Neti etc. I still practice sometimes. Also, In this ashram I met so many like minded people from different origins, all wonderful people. So this was a wholesome experience for me, i think this is the best yoga ashram in Ubud. Thanks to everyone for making this journey beautiful.
